Something to remember about the algorithm --- It finds correlations and exploits value that the human eye does not see. It's also difficult to factor in the importance of unique variables, like injuries. If Braxton Miller is fresh off his concussion and may play one quarter against Penn State, or the entire game, how should that be factored into the analysis? Is it worth 1 point? 3 points?
