Must listen to the score from The Town as I write about the death of the BCS.
In most sports, as in most
of life, each season is a long slog; sure, it’s fun to crack open a beer and
root for the no-hitters and the walk-off home runs, but any given contest is
but a prelude to the playoffs and, eventually, the championship games. Frequently these memories get haphazardly filed away
in a loose drawer of memories.
But in college football,
there is an unrelenting series of defining moments. In college
football, you don’t look forward to a glorified tournament the
playoffs. Every Saturday is the playoffs.
